◥ Someone, Something, Sometime, and Somewhere ◤

單字:
someone: कोई

something: कुछ

sometime: कभी

somewhere: कहीं

例句:
1. There is someone in the house.
→ घर में कोई है |


2. There’s something on the table.
→ मेज़ पर कुछ है |


3. Whenever it rains...
→  जब कभी बारिश पड़ती है


4. When somewhere far away it rains...
→ जब कहीं दूर बारिश पड़ती है

कभी 和 कहीं 常做疊字使用:

कभी कभी: something along the lines of sometimes; more than once

कहीं कहीं:  on some occasions; some places

例句:
1. Sometimes he goes to his village.
→ कभी कभी वह गाँव जाता है |


2. It snows in some places in India.
→ भारत में कहीं कहीं बर्फ पड़ती है |

भी 有any(it doesn’t matter which particular)的意思，常放在此四個詞的後面，具有以下的意思:

कोई भी: anyone/anybody  

कुछ भी: anything

कभी भी: anytime

कहीं भी: anywhere

例句:
1. Anyone can do this job.
→ कोई भी यह काम कर सकता है |


2. Bring anything!
→ कुछ भी लाओ |


3. You can ask for help anytime.
→ तुम कभी भी मदद माँग सकते हो |


4. We can meet anywhere.
→ हम कहीं भी मिल सकते हैं

此四個詞和नहीं (not, no)放在一起可形成強烈否定:

1. no one / nobody / not anyone: कोई नहीं

2. nothing: कुछ नहीं

3. never / not any time: कभी नहीं

4. nowhere / not any place: कहीं नहीं


例句:
1. Nobody is home.
→ घर में कोई नहीं है |


2. There is nothing to eat today.
→ आज खाने के लिय कुछ नहीं है |


3. He never sings in public (in front of people)
→ वह लोगों के सानमे कभी नहीं गाता |


4. The girl is nowhere in this city.
→ वह लड़की इस शहर में कहीं नहीं है |


5. Nobody cleans my room.
→ मेरा कम कोई साफ़ नहीन करत |


6. She never listens to me. (to my words)
→ वह कभी मेर बाफ़ को नहीं सुनती |

需注意的是: 一個否定詞 नहीं 就足夠了讓整個句子成為否定句，不需多重否定詞。

1. Nobody does anything here.
→  कोई यहाँ कुछ नहीं करता |


2. He never goes outside anywhere.
→ वह कभी कहीं बाहर नहीं जाता |

और有"else, other"的意思，可放在所要修飾的詞語"前"或"後":

1. somebody else/anybody else: कोई और / और कोई

2. something else/anything else: कुछ और / aउर कुछ

3. some other time/any other time: कभी और / और कभी

4. somewhere else/anywhere else: कहीं और / और कहीं

例句:
1. Is someone/anyone else coming?
→ क्या कोई और आ रहा है?


2. Do you need something/anything else?
→ क्या आपको कुछ और चाहिए?


3. We can't do it today; let's do it some other time.
→ आज हम नहीं कर सकते, कभी और करते हैं |


4. It's not nice here; let's go somewhere else.
→ यहाँ अच्छा नहीं है, कहीं और चलते हैं |

與 न 使用，此四個詞還能組成以下的意思:

1. someone or other(or no particular): कोई न कोई

2. something or other(or no particular): कुछ न कुछ

3. some time or other(or no particular): कभी न कभी

4. somewhere or other(or no particular): कहीं न कहीं

例句:
1. There was surely someone (or other) in the room.
→ कमरे में कोई ने कोई ज़रुर था |


2. There was something (or other) to eat in the fridge.
→ फ्रिज में खाने के लिए कुछ न कुछ था |


3. He surely smokes sometimes, now and then.
→ वह कभी न कभी सिगरेट ज़रुर पीता है |


4. There are good clothes available in some place or other at this market.
→  इस बाज़ार में कहीं न कहीं अच्छे कपड़े मिलते हैं |

कोई 、कुछ 除了當名詞用外，還可當做形容詞:

某些(單數) some:  कोई
某些(複數) some:   कुछ

例:
some job: कोई काम

some jobs: कुछ काम

some boy: कोई लड़का

some boys: कुछ लड़के
