‧ Returned from rehab and reinstated INF DJ LeMahieu (#26) from the 60-day
injured list.
‧ INF Kevin Smith elected free agency in lieu of accepting an outright
assignment.
‧ Reinstated RHP Ian Hamilton (#71) from the 7-day COVID-19 injured list.

(2) @Yankees: Following today’s game, the Yankees optioned RHP Yoendrys Gómez
to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

(4) @BryanHoch: Gerrit Cole is scheduled to toss live batting practice again on
Thursday in Tampa, Aaron Boone said. It'll be Cole's third session vs. hitters,
following a two-inning, 30-pitch outing on Saturday.

(5) @BryanHoch: DJ LeMahieu on hitting 9th in his return: "I wouldn't change a
whole lot with our offense right now. I'm just looking forward to being part of
the lineup. I'll lurk down there in the bottom of the order."

(6) @BryanHoch: The Yankees have won 17 of 22 since May 3, the best record in
the majors in that span.

Over that period, they lead @MLB in batting average (.277), slugging percentage
(.497), homers (40), and team ERA (2.31).
