Star Wars creator George Lucas secured his place as a filmmaking legend in
1977, and he’s got thoughts about the state of movies today and where they’
re heading.
《星際大戰》創始人喬治盧卡斯 (George Lucas) 於1977年奠定了電影製作傳奇人物的
地位，他對當今電影的現狀及其發展方向有自己的看法。


He opened up about the film industry during a conversation with Brut at the
2024 Cannes Film Festival. Now at 80 years old, Lucas has had a lot of time
to examine movies both up close and from afar, which is why he had a lot to
say when asked about what cinema will become in 10 years.
他在2024年坎城影展上與Brut的對話中暢談了電影業。現年80歲的盧卡斯有很多時間
近距離和遠距離地審視電影，這就是為什麼當被問及10年後電影會變成什麼樣子時，

"Same thing as it is now. What happens now - and it happens in streaming
probably more than features, but features, it's the same thing - nobody knows
what to do,” he said. “The stories they're telling are just old movies.
'Let's do a sequel, let's do another version of this movie.' And it's not
just in movies, but in almost everything, there's almost no original thinking.
「就像現在一樣。現在發生的事情——在串流媒體中發生的情況可能不僅僅是專題片，但
專題片，這是同一件事——沒有人知道該怎麼做，」他說 : 故事只是老故事“我們拍續

Star Wars is maybe the most notable property to receive a constant feed of
sequels and spinoffs. There have been a total of five Star Wars movies sent
to theaters since the release of Episode VII – The Force Awakens in 2015.
That doesn’t count spinoff shows, which include Disney+ outings like The
Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor, and Ahsoka.
《星際大戰》可能是最引人注目的不斷推出續集和衍生作品的作品。自2015年《星際大
戰VII：原力覺醒》上映以來，共有五部星際大戰電影上映。還有一大堆Disney+上的
衍生作品。


“It's like, 'I saw something, let's do something like that,’ ” Lucas
added. “It's also a way that movies are sold. If you go in and say, 'I've
got something that you've never seen before and you don't understand it,'
it's very hard to get a deal."
「這就像是，『我看到了一些東西，讓我們做類似的事情吧，』」盧卡斯補充道。「這

Lucas has a lot of thoughts about film today and where it’s heading, but he
hasn’t been heavily involved in his unstoppable sci-fi franchise in quite
some time. He sold his Lucasfilm empire to the Walt Disney Company for just
over $4 billion in 2012, and with multiple films, games, shows, and more
spinoffs now under its belt, Star Wars has evolved into an entirely different
beast.
盧卡斯對當今的電影及其發展方向有很多想法，但他已經有一段時間沒有深入參與他勢不
可擋的科幻系列電影了。2012年，他以略高於40億美元的價格將盧卡斯影業帝國賣給了
華特迪士尼公司，如今，憑藉多部電影、遊戲、電視劇和更多衍生產品，《星際大戰》

Reflecting on the sale (via The Hollywood Reporter), Lucas spoke about how
the galaxy far, far away has changed under Disney’s watch for better or
worse.
盧卡斯在反思這次出售時（來自《好萊塢報道》）談到了遙遠的銀河系在迪士尼的監管下
發生了怎樣的變化，無論是好是壞。


“I was the one who really knew what Star Wars was…who actually knew this
world, because there’s a lot to it. The force, for example, nobody
understood the force,” he said. “When they started other ones after I sold
the company, a lot of the ideas that were in [the original] sort of got lost.
But that’s the way it is. You give it up, you give it up.”
「我是那個真正了解《星際大戰》是什麼的人……真正了解這個世界，因為它有很多東西
。例如，沒有人理解力，」他說。 「當我賣掉公司後，他們開始了其他的想法，[最初的

Star Wars is continuing forward, of course, with projects like The Acolyte,
The Mandalorian & Grogu, Skeleton Crew, Dawn of the Jedi, and much, much
more. Elsewhere in the Brut interview, Lucas also offered his thoughts about
artificial intelligence in filmmaking.
當然，《星際大戰》仍在繼續前進，推出了《The Acolyte》、《The Mandalorian &
Grogu》、《Skeleton Crew》、《Dawn of the Jedi》等更多作品。在Brut採訪的其他
地方，盧卡斯也提出了他對電影製作中人工智慧的看法。

不過好萊塢愛拍續集片一方面也是風險比原創新片低
