UPDATE: We support and encourage free expression and free
speech on campus and the sometimes uncomforable debates
that such speech inspires. Universities are a place for
rigorous debate and discussion of difficult topics, and
this is one of those times.

更新：我們支持而且鼓勵校園內的言論自由，以及其所激發，
有時令人難受的辯論。大學即是辯論這些難以討論話題的場所，
這次的事件就屬於這個情況。

We did not intend to make a political statement by posting
this photo. The March of Flags event was intended to bring
people together and show the amazing international diversity
of our campus. We would have preferred that no political
statements be made on that occasion and we acknowledge that
some members of our community were offended. Having said
that, we support our students' right to free expression
and have left the photo in place.



不過我們不會撤掉這張照片，因為我們支持學生們的言論自由。
